(16-04-13) Four steps to banishing inflammation naturally

by PF Louis

(NaturalNews) Inflammation is a necessary temporary immune reaction to help
heal a wound or fight off infectious pathogens that have collected in any
physiological area. The key word is "temporary."

If inflammation becomes chronic, it generates a multitude of autoimmune
diseases. An autoimmune disease is one where the immune system's attack against
pathogens or toxic invaders becomes a chronic attack on healthy tissue.

Dr. Russell Blaylock, retired neurosurgeon and author of Excitoxins: The Taste
that Kills and other books cites the cytokine storm from vaccinations as a
source of disabling reactions from vaccinations.

The toxic adjuvants and preservatives in vaccines, coupled with the dead or
not-quite-dead viruses can create an overwhelming immune response that turns
against the vaccination recipient.

There are many examples of this ranging from Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) to
autism spectrum disorders and childhood allergies. Of course, only about five
percent of those are officially reported as issues connected to vaccinations.

Our everyday, polluted environments and processed foods are other carriers of
toxins that can also stimulate out of control immune system reactions that
evolve into chronic inflammation. Junk food diets and antibiotics destroy
beneficial gut bacteria, leading to Candida yeast overgrowth and many difficult
to diagnose symptoms.

Now, even cardiovascular arterial clogging and heart disease is being traced
to chronic inflammation. The too much fat and cholesterol mythology is
crumbling in the light of newer evidence that points to chronic inflammation
from toxicity in the arterial walls as the source of heart disease. (http://www.

Often, there is an awareness of pain from inflammation. Arthritic pain is one
example; Crohn's disease is another. But it's difficult to feel inflammatory
pain in nerve sheathing, blood cells, and inner arterial walls. But sometimes
we are not aware of internal chronic inflammation through obvious pain.

Mainstream medicine treats the symptoms of inflammation with no regard to the
causes and prescribes pharmaceutical solutions that create more inflammatory
side effects. As functional medicine goes, Dr. Mark Hymann quips, "Medicine as
it is practiced today is like taking the battery out of a smoke detector while
a fire burns down your house!"

Four natural approaches for curbing chronic inflammation
The food foundation for these approaches is whole, organic foods without
refined sugar and synthetic sweeteners. Back off fast foods, most restaurant
foods, fast foods and even processed foods in health food stores.

(1) Move toward balancing Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids. Most of the above
contain Omega-6 processed fatty acids that are toxic. Use non-hydrogenated,
cold pressed plant oils, excluding Canola, for Omega-6 acids. Add chia seeds,
ground flax seeds, and cold water fish oils or krill oils for Omega-3.

(2) The more someone slides toward acidosis (chronically low pH), the more
inflammation mounts. So it's wise to use more foods that are alkaline forming
and minimize those that are acid forming. Greens and other plant-based foods
are alkaline producing. Baking soda in water is very alkaline forming. (http:

Cooked meats, coffee, sugars, bleached white flour products, and alcohol are
acid forming. Ironically, acidic citrus lemon/lime water solutions and
unpasteurized or raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) in water are alkaline forming
within the body's pH buffer system.

(3) Curcumin/turmeric is now recognized as a safe, inexpensive, effective
inflammation remedy. It's an herbal spice, so it takes some daily use to
realize its benefits. (http://www.naturalnews.com/028556_turmeric_anti-
inflammatory.html)

(4) Whatever non-pharmaceutical measure you can apply to reduce anxiety and
stress will also reduce inflammation and increase alkalinity. If it's exercise,
pick something you enjoy. Bouncing on a mini-trampoline (rebounder) drains your
usually ignored lymph gland fluids. (http://www.naturalnews.

Yoga, chi-gong, tai-chi, and meditation over time will do wonders for your
overall immunity health and mental state.
