(25-02-14) The great medical myth of vaccine safety and effectiveness

by Michelle Goldstein

(NaturalNews) The medical establishment continues to credit the smallpox and polio vaccines for eliminating these diseases. Both vaccines were in fact failures. The National Institutes of Health's funding of nine Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units, with an annual budget of $135 million, provides evidence of continued vaccine growth based on the vaccine myth. Vaccine data demonstrates that vaccines are dangerous. The media and pharmaceutical companies help maintain the vaccine myth with false reporting and bogus vaccine safety studies.

How the vaccine myth began

Edward Jenner is given "credit" by many as being the first to experiment with smallpox vaccinations. He experimented with an eight-year-old boy named James Phipps on May 14, 1775, by injecting cowpox pus into his skin and later repeated this procedure with several other children. Jenner claimed that this procedure prevented smallpox and convinced George lll that his vaccine would eliminate the disease. King George awarded Jenner the equivalent of half a million dollars to inoculate the public against smallpox.

The Smallpox Hospital in London reported a steady, alarming increase in smallpox incidents after the established practice of immunizations. The incidence of smallpox began at 5% at the beginning of the century, rising to 44% in 1845, 64% in 1855 and jumping to 96% in 1885.

Mortality rates from smallpox increased after compulsory vaccinations from 2.04 per 10,000 individuals in 1850 to 10.24 in 1871.

The smallpox vaccine caused many diseases including syphilis, tuberculosis and leprosy. Leading medical authorities, including M. Depaul, chief of the Vaccination Service of the French Academy of Medicine, Dr. A Wilder, Professor of Pathology and former editor of the New York Medical Times, and Dr. Maclean all spoke out against the dangers of the smallpox vaccine.

Despite the statistics and evidence against smallpox vaccinations, the pro-vaccinators continued their successful immunization crusade.

The polio vaccine continued the vaccine myth. Individuals receiving the polio immunization continued to develop polio. Statistical manipulation, after the vaccine creation, changed the diagnosis requirements of polio to show a reduction of disease outbreaks. Improvements in treatment also reduced the number of polio cases reported.

Vaccine graphs show that polio and several other disease outbreaks were reduced in countries prior to the introduction of vaccines. Improvements in sanitation are in reality responsible for disease reduction in several countries.

Vaccine dangers

Vaccinations, promising disease immunity, have been shown to injure and kill. A 2013 search of the National Vaccine Information Center database shows 52,835 negative reactions reported for the DtaP vaccine. By 2012, 119 reports of death, 894 cases of disability and 9,889 emergency room visits were related to the HPV vaccine. The National Vaccine Information Center, as of March 2012, showed 66,554 serious adverse reactions to the hepatitis B vaccine, including 1,500 deaths. This is just a sampling of some current vaccines.

How the pharmaceutical industry maintains its safety myth

To maintain their claim of safety, vaccine manufacturers compare vaccine reactions of one vaccine to another. They fail to use a true placebo in their research, which is lauded as the hallmark of double-blind placebo studies. By comparing negative vaccine reactions, they can claim that a new vaccine is relatively safer, with less negative reactions, than another. See VacTruth.com.

How the media is controlled

Pharmaceutical companies provide important advertising dollars to mainstream media. Journalist Katie Couric recently apologized for her accurate and fair reporting of dangerous HPV vaccine reactions, demonstrating the power of the vaccine industry to control the media.
